Samantha's Big Purchase!

Samantha saved up any birthday money, Christmas money and savings from allowances.  she did spend some of this money throughout the year, but she spent it wisely and has been quite thrifty.
She didn't want to actually go up to the cashier at first 'Trish, can't you just buy the doll for me?????  Puhhhlllleeeeaaaseeeee.....'   I replied back to her 'I don't need a doll, why would I buy one.' or 'your money, your doll kiddo'.   She thought the cashier might be mean (I'm not joking, she thought they would be mean and tease her somehow) Or that there would be tax on top of tax and she wouldn't have enough.  She sucked it up though and got in line while we wandered around not far.
From there she couldn't quite hold still, she had the box in a bag and a grin from ear to ear.  Managed to get her down to the bottom of the stairs before she ever so carefully opened the box and extracted her doll.  There was a lot of rocking back and forth, exclaiming at how pretty the doll was, all the accessories, the stories.  Lea the doll never did make it back in the box and was packed around for the rest of the day.
She is very proud and so far has not lost any of the accessories, although there has been a close call or two, or four :-D
