Salmon on a Plank

We decided to see what all the hullaballoo was about over cooking on a plank. You have to soak the plank for the day so it doesn't burn (too much) on the grill. It's supposed to add cedar flavour to your meat, and  anything else that's under the BBQ lid at the time. We didn't really notice the cedar in the taste of the meat, but we did enjoy the cedar smoke smell whilst sipping our drinks on the patio waiting for the salmon to cook. And we had plenty of time, because it takes a really long time to cook on a wet plank. We think this is probably better for presentation, while having dinner guests over.
